The general secretary of the PP, Miguel Tellado, has demanded this Thursday from the PP of the Community of Madrid, led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, that it “give the PSOE a beating” in the capital in the general elections of November 29 because, as he has said, Spain “needs it.” At the same time, and after the new operation by the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Guardia Civil within the framework of the ‘Koldo case,’ he has predicted that “all the Sanchistas will go on the bench.”

“You have to give them a beating. You have to give them a proper going-over. We have to secure massive support from the people of Madrid so that the next Government of Spain is a management Government, rigorous, serious, and that takes politics seriously,” Tellado said during a rally in Alcobendas (Madrid), where the mayors of this municipality and of San Sebastián de los Reyes also took part, Rocío García and Lucía Fernández, as well as the general secretary of the PP of Madrid, Alfonso Serrano.

Tellado focused part of his speech on the “new raid” that, in his view, the PSOE has suffered with the actions of the UCO, in which six arrests were carried out and documentation was requested from Adif and the construction company Azvi within a new secret piece of the ‘Koldo case’.

“I think they were already missing them. It hadn’t happened in weeks,” he said, to emphasize that with this new operation “they have back the usual routine of the Socialist Party: Their delinquency has returned to the forefront of current events.”

In his view, “everything that’s close to Sánchez ends up the same way.” “All the Sanchistas will end up in the same place, which is the bench of the accused. One after another,” he predicted, the PP’s number two, who insisted on conveying to the socialists that “actually not all of them are the same.”

Tellado has said that “Sanchismo is starting to suffer major losses,” mentioning the case of the Government delegate, Francisco Martin, because he was not “included on the lists,” or that of the Transport minister, Óscar Puente, who submitted his resignation almost a week after the train accident in Urda (Toledo).

Criticism of Óscar Puente and the future of the PSOE

The party leader has stressed that Puente has left the executive branch now not because of “political responsibility,” but because “now there are elections.” “Puente isn’t leaving because of the more than 100 deaths from train accidents. Puente is leaving because of the fewer than 100 seats that the polls say he is going to win,” he said.

He has also pointed out that the Vice President, Carlos Cuerpo, has taken over the Ministry of Transport because “they know it’s something temporary,” that they have “four days left,” and that “there is no one else more willing to take the portfolio.” “They’ve run out of benchwarmers in the PSOE from filling the bench of the accused so much,” he has sentenced.

In this context, Tellado has urged Ayuso’s PP to deliver “a thorough beating” and “a total washing” to Pedro Sánchez’s candidacy in Madrid on November 29. “The PP of Madrid has to give the PSOE of Madrid a very good thrashing. We deserve it and I think Spain needs it,” he concluded, prompting applause from those in attendance.
