Nestlé España has maintained that the agreement reached with the legal representation of the workforce to implement the employment regulation file (ERE) will allow the multinational to face the evolution of the sector with a more "efficient and agile" model and reinforce long-term value creation, according to a statement released this Monday.

In accordance with the agreement, the ERE will ultimately affect a maximum of 242 employees, down from the 301 initially proposed. An indemnity of 45 days per year worked, with a cap of 42 monthly payments, has been set for workers under 54 years of age or 54 years of age with less than 5 years of service, while for the rest, up to 63 years of age, a specific income plan has been designed.

"The agreement allows the company to continue advancing in its operational transformation, adapting to the different challenges of the market in Spain, ensuring the viability of the business to continue generating long-term value," Nestlé has valued.

The agreed text also includes the voluntary nature of adhering to the file under the established conditions, as well as a voluntary redeployment program.

The first departures are planned for the end of July this year, while the remaining bulk will be executed in March 2027. Likewise, an additional window for departures is contemplated in December 2026, integrated into the agreed internal redeployment plan.
