The plenary session of the Parliament has approved this Thursday a repudiation of "Catalanophobia, linguistic but not only" that, in its opinion, is evidenced in the agreements between PP and Vox, taking as a reference the pact that both formations have closed in Aragon.
The section of the motion presented by Junts points out that these pacts are repudiated "for being discriminatory", and it was approved with the support of all groups, with the exception of the negative vote of the popular party and the deputies of Ignacio Garriga's group.
On the other hand, the Chamber has rejected the proposal that aimed to update, within a period of 3 months, the adaptation of the immigration regulations to establish knowledge and accreditation of the B1 level of Catalan as a condition for residency.
Likewise, the initiative that called for ensuring that "in each and every one of the regularization extensions the requirement of knowledge and accreditation of the A2 level of Catalan is met" and that a specific protocol for its validation be established has been rejected.
On the contrary, a point has been approved that calls on the Government to ask the central Government to ensure that "accredited knowledge of the official languages is valued as merit in access" to the specialized health training system (MIR) in all health professional categories.
Likewise, the plenary session has given the green light to the allocation of an extraordinary budget of 5 million euros intended for sports federations and clubs in Catalonia to "deploy linguistic plans" within the framework of the Sports Linguistic Plan.
