The Number 2 Court Plaza of the Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which handles the case into the death of the CD Tenerife footballer Jesús de Miguel, has given its approval for the transfer of the player’s remains so that they can be buried in the municipality of Navahermosa, in the province of Toledo, the place of origin of his family.

The High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has said that the court already has the preliminary report of the autopsy—whose contents are kept reserved out of respect for the privacy of the deceased and his relatives—and that all the steps provided for in the investigation continue to be carried out.

The entire squad and the Board of Directors of CD Tenerife are expected to attend Jesús de Miguel’s funeral, which, barring last-minute changes, will take place this Thursday. In addition, the club is organizing for this Saturday, at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, an act of farewell and tribute to the player at 18:00 hours, open to all fans.
