A magistrate in Palma has summoned the former president of the Balearic Parliament, Balti Picornell, to appear as an investigated party, following a lawsuit filed by Vox deputy in Congress, Jorge Campos, after he referred to him as a "fucking Nazi".
Picornell himself announced on his X social media profile that he will have to appear on June 11 before the Investigation Section of the Court of First Instance of Palma, at number 8 square.
"I'm leaving this here before the fascist media start spreading shit. Don't worry, I'm not involved in anything with former president Zapatero. As I said yesterday, a photograph, a story, and a lot of thin skin on the part of a far-right Spanish character has led to this," he stated in his message.
On several occasions, the former leader of the regional Chamber has shared a photograph on his social media in which he appears next to a graffiti that reads "J. Campos fucking Nazi," an image he has used in some cases to respond to publications by the Vox parliamentarian, who finally filed the lawsuit.
The coordinator of MÉS per Mallorca and spokesperson for the eco-sovereigntists in the Parliament, Lluís Apesteguia, has publicly shown his support for Picornell through another message on social media.
"Always on Balti Picornell's team. It doesn't matter when you read this, because between good and bad people, we should never choose the wrong side," he declared.
