The Public Prosecutor's Office of Gijón has requested from the Court of Instance of Gijón the withdrawal of the passport, the prohibition on leaving Spanish territory, and the obligation to sign at the courthouse every Friday for ten of those arrested in the police operation linked to Núcleo Nacional, who have been placed at judicial disposal this morning.

The Public Ministry understands, without prejudice to the fact that this classification may be modified throughout the judicial investigation, that the facts under investigation could fall within crimes of incitement to hatred and unlawful association.

Of the ten detainees, two live in Gijón and one in Avilés, while the other seven have been taken to Asturias from different courts across the Spanish geography to appear before the judicial authority.

The police operation, coordinated by the General Information Office of the National Police, resulted in 14 arrests of members of this far-right organization and ten searches carried out in Madrid, Asturias, Guadalajara, Valladolid, Pontevedra, Burgos and Alicante, including its headquarters in the capital and several private addresses. Among those arrested are several leaders from the top leadership of the party.

The proceedings were authorized by the holder of Court Room number four of Instruction of Gijón, acting in voluntary substitution of Court number one, based on an investigation opened after altercations recorded last February in the vicinity of the La Inmaculada school in Gijón, where several young people reported having suffered assaults.
