The Community of Madrid is experiencing one of the most complicated days of the summer in terms of forest fires. The Agency for Security and Emergencies has confirmed that three fires remain active between this Wednesday and this Thursday, forcing the mobilization of a large emergency device and the adoption of exceptional measures to protect the population.
The most serious episode affects Villa del Prado and Aldea del Fresno, where authorities have ordered the evacuation of the nearly 3,500 residents of Aldea del Fresno due to the advance of the flames. In addition, the fire that started in Almorox (Toledo) and another declared in San Martín de Valdeiglesias remain active, which has also caused preventive confinements and the sending of alerts to the mobile phones of residents.
The Madrid authorities have asked the population to follow only the information disseminated by official channels and to call 112 only in case of emergency.

Evacuation of Aldea del Fresno
The evolution of the fire declared this Thursday in Villa del Prado has forced the expansion of protection measures. The Community of Madrid has ordered the evacuation of the entire municipality of Aldea del Fresno, where around 3,500 people reside, due to the risk of the fire reaching the locality.
The emergency services have activated the ES-Alert system to inform the population and coordinate the evacuation, while the forces work to stop the advance of the flames.
In the extinction, Firefighters of the Community of Madrid, Forest Firefighters, Forest Agents, and the Military Emergency Unit (UME) are participating. Likewise, the M-507, in the direction of Navalcarnero, and the N-403, in the direction of Toledo, remain closed to traffic in the vicinity of the fire.
The Almorox fire remains uncontained
This emergency is joined by the fire that started this Wednesday in Almorox (Toledo), which spread to the municipal area of Villa del Prado.
The fire has already affected about 890 hectares, of which around 600 correspond to the Community of Madrid, and continues in operational situation 2 of the INFOMA Plan, without having been stabilized yet due to the high temperatures and the wind.
During the day on Wednesday, about 900 people from the urbanization Encinar del Alberche were evacuated, and emergency teams are monitoring around 1,500 homes, about thirty of them with damage.
In the area, nearly 150 personnel continue to work, supported by the UME.
Another fire in San Martín de Valdeiglesias
The third active fire was declared this Thursday in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, where, according to initial information, the fire may have originated after a vehicle caught fire next to the M-501.
As a preventive measure, emergency services ordered the confinement of the López Rumayor senior residence and sent an ES-Alert to the neighbors of the urbanizations San Ramón and Jaracruz to remain in their homes.
Additionally, residents of Pelayos de la Presa were advised to move towards the urban center due to the proximity of the flames.
