The Podemos candidacy for the Senate for León was not included this Tuesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) due, supposedly, to a failure in the documentation registered by the purple formation. This error would have led the Provincial Electoral Board to void the list, according to Heraldo de León.

The Podemos proposal for the Upper House was made up of Edith Peña Domínguez, Modesto Ramos and Ariana Alonso. For the moment, the party has not offered public explanations about the specific causes that have resulted in the annulment of the list nor has it clarified whether it plans to file any appeal against this resolution.

After this decision, the only left-wing list that will run for the Senate for León in the elections of November 29 will be Senado de Progreso, in which Frente Amplio and the PSOE are integrated.
