The leader of the PP in the Barcelona City Council, Daniel Sirera, has demanded that Mayor Jaume Collboni have the City Council act as a private prosecution for the disturbances recorded during the mobilizations for the ninth anniversary of 1-O and the protests for housing, and that "he demands from those responsible the cost of the damages."

In a statement released this Monday, Sirera detailed that the housing demonstration held on October 5 resulted in 30 Mossos d'Esquadra injured and the burning of 32 containers "and initial damages to urban furniture exceeding 42,000 euros."

In light of these events, the popular group will present a request in the Commission of Presidency, Security, and Internal Regime next Wednesday for an itemized economic report to be prepared that "allows recognizing the total cost of the damages caused to containers, urban furniture, asphalt, pavement, and other municipal assets."
