The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, has conveyed to King Felipe VI his commitment to implement a limitation on the entry of vehicles to the island starting next summer.
Galmés has discussed this matter with the monarch during the traditional summer audience held this Friday at the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, in Palma, as part of the annual meeting that the head of State holds with the Mallorcan authorities.
In subsequent statements to the media, the island's official pointed out that the issues he has presented to the King are those that "concern and occupy the Mallorcan society," among them the vehicle regulation law that is currently being processed in the Parlament.
"I have announced to the King that it will come into effect starting next summer. It is a brave measure, a determined measure, and the main containment measure that we have promoted throughout this legislature within the competencies of our institution," he emphasized.
