School motivation and the personal development of young people find a key ally in physical activity. After the major impact of its first edition, the Fundación Mejorando el Futuro calls for a new installment of its regional sports challenge, expanding its reach this year so that both secondary schools and sports clubs can take part.
This project is born from direct collaboration with the educational community, with a priority goal: to accompany students in 3.º de ESO to 2.º de Bachillerato in building their professional vocation. At a decisive moment for their future, the initiative seeks to prevent frustration, loss of motivation, and dropping out of their studies, offering them an active, participatory, and dynamic environment in which to discover their real aptitudes and concerns.
A major novelty: opening up to sports clubs
The main innovation of this call is that the circuit is no longer limited exclusively to Secondary and Bachillerato centers. Aware of the valuable role of grassroots sport in socializing and education, the Foundation opens participation to sports clubs. This expansion allows a greater number of young people to put their endurance, coordination, and teamwork capacity to the test in a collaborative space aimed at personal growth.
What does the circuit consist of?
The challenge is structured through an adapted circuit of skill stations that cleverly combines physical demands with cooperative work:
Physical and cooperative tests: Dynamic stations that range from agility and coordination challenges (such as juggling or paper folding) to jump rope sessions and high-intensity intervals (HIIT).
Edition prizes: Sports equipment for the center, exclusive experiences for the winning class, and special recognitions for the coordinating teachers.
The development of the initiative has the strategic push of TAFADMadrid, a reference institution in delivering official qualifications in Grado Medio and Superior in sport (TEGU, TSAF, TSEAS and TSD). Its active participation reinforces the educational value of the project, positioning physical activity as a fundamental channel for formal training and subsequent youth labor-market integration.
A precedent of success and open registrations
The excellent level of involvement of the previous edition left outstanding winners: the C.P. Santo Ángel de la Guarda (Chapinería), with the teacher Lorena Domingo; and the Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús (Alcalá de Henares), with the teacher Guillermo Quílez and his group of 3.º A. The appearance in the media is part of the recognitions granted to the winners, consolidating the event as a key appointment on the region’s sports-education calendar.
The institutes and sports organizations interested in formalizing their participation or expanding information can do so directly through the official website of the Fundación Mejorando el Futuro, where direct registration access is available for both schools and clubs.
