A study by Chassefit.es conducted among 520 users reveals that home Yoga is gaining ground over the gym for well-being, comfort, and stress reduction

Home well-being is consolidating as one of the major lifestyle trends in Spain. More and more people are replacing the traditional gym with Yoga and Pilates routines from home, driven by flexibility, comfort, and the search for a less stressful life.

This is reflected in a survey conducted by Chassefit.es among 520 users interested in Yoga, Pilates, and well-being. According to the study, 68% claim to practice more Yoga at home than a year ago, while 61% admit to having reduced their gym attendance since they started training at home.

The trend reflects a change in the way exercise and well-being are understood. Compared to intensive workouts and rigid schedules, home Yoga is gaining prominence as a more flexible alternative adapted to the current pace of life.

"Well-being is no longer limited to the gym. Many people have turned a small corner of their home into their daily disconnection space," explain those from the portal specializing in yoga clothing and accessories for Yoga and Pilates.

Main study data

  • 73% state that home Yoga helps them reduce daily stress.
  • 64% now prioritize comfort and well-being over intensive training.
  • 57% claim to have created a small "wellness corner" within their home.
  • 49% believe that training from home allows them to maintain a more consistent routine.

Social networks and video platforms have also boosted this trend, bringing Yoga classes and routines closer to millions of people from anywhere.

Furthermore, the rise of so-called "home wellness" has increased interest in relaxing spaces at home, comfortable sportswear, and accessories such as yoga zafus, which are increasingly used for meditation and relaxation exercises.

The wellness sector also highlights the growth of athleisure and seamless fashion, designed to combine comfort, movement, and style both inside and outside the home.

"Home Yoga represents much more than exercise. For many people, it has become a daily moment of calm, well-being, and disconnection," they point out from the portal.

Methodology: survey conducted in May 2026 among 520 users interested in Yoga, Pilates, and well-being in Spain.
