Bankinter has launched an assistant supported by artificial intelligence in its digital channels so that customers can locate the various available operations more quickly both on the website and in the mobile application of the entity, as the bank detailed in a statement.

This new functionality allows the user to ask questions in natural language about how to carry out a specific management task, avoiding the need to navigate through the different sections of the menu. In this way, the customer can ask, for example, where to download a certificate of ownership, how to check movements from a previous year, return a receipt, manage their alerts, or modify a recurring transfer.

After receiving the query, the assistant provides the necessary information to guide the user and redirects them to the specific section of the website or application from which they can carry out the operation they need.

The assistant is aimed at individual customers and is accessible both from the app and from the Bankinter website. Regarding its location, the entity led by Gloria Ortiz has specified that in the app it can be accessed through the "Operate" button in the global position, while on the website it is found at the bottom of the "Operate" menu.

In both environments, the assistant shows the customer the question "What do you want to do?", from which they can describe in their own words the management they wish to carry out.

The orange bank has clarified that the tool does not execute operations by itself, but rather it is the customer who must carry out and authorize their operations, with the assistant limited to facilitating the location of the appropriate functionality.

Similarly, the financial entity has emphasized that the assistant does not resolve queries, incidents, or complaints, which will continue to be processed through the channels that Bankinter has specifically enabled for each of these management tasks.

In addition, the queries made through the assistant will serve Bankinter to identify which operations generate the most doubts among its customers and detect those contents that require improvement or further development.

With this, the knowledge base of the tool will be reviewed and expanded based on the most common questions from users and the new functionalities that are incorporated into the digital channels of the entity.
