Cecot has stated that it shares concern about the current housing crisis, but "considers that a general strike is not the answer," as it has said in a statement released this Wednesday.

The multi-sector business employers' association based in Terrassa has emphasized that this is "a social and structural problem" that requires rolling out more public policies in a continued manner, increasing the supply of available housing, and strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The organization’s president, Xavier Panés, has stressed that access to housing is a "real, serious and shared" problem, but that it "will not be solved by stopping economic activity."
