Costa Cruceros has announced a reconfiguration of its executive helm with the aim of streamlining business decisions and unifying the global management of the business.
Since 1 November 2026, the Italian cruise line has consolidated under the leadership of Francesco Muglia, Senior Vice President and Commercial Director, the areas of pricing, revenue management, itinerary planning and transportation. These functions are added to his existing responsibilities in global marketing, direct sales and management of business units.
Within the framework of this new structure, Daniel Caprile, until now Vice President of Pricing, Revenue Management, Itineraries and Transportation, will report directly to Muglia and will also take on responsibility for the strategic management of the revenues generated onboard.
With this reorganization, the company intends to concentrate in a single corporate chain of command all the levers for generating revenue, both those that are activated before embarkation and those that take place during the crossing.
The cruise line places this internal adjustment within the deployment of its strategy "Sea & Land Wonder Platform", which seeks to coordinate the design of itineraries, pricing policy and the service offering on land and on the ship in an integrated manner.
"For us, a cruise starts much earlier than embarkation: with itinerary planning, pricing decisions and the development of the overall offering. An integrated approach to these key levers will allow us to accelerate the evolution of our product and offer our guests increasingly differentiated and personalized experiences", Francesco Muglia, Senior Vice President and Commercial Director of Costa Cruceros, has explained.
