Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (AM) has announced the appointment of Alain Krief as the new global head of investments, as well as the incorporation of Charles Lilford as co-head of the equity area and senior manager of the Big Data strategy, a responsibility he will share with Xiadong Bao.
Krief officially occupies his new position since August 24, he will develop his functions from Paris and will report directly to the global CEO of the manager, Christophe Caspar.
Engineer from the National School of Engineering of Caen and with a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Caen, the new global head of investments of Edmond de Rothschild AM comes from the global fixed income management of the entity itself, a position he has held since 2019.
Previously, he held a similar responsibility at Oddo BHF AM and held various senior management positions at BNP Paribas AM (Fischer Francis Trees & Watts), at Crédit Agricole AM (Amundi) and at Crédit Lyonnais AM.
At the same time, the manager has appointed Charles Lilford as co-head of the equity area and senior manager of the Big Data strategy, in collaboration with Xiadong Bao. The executive will assume his new functions starting September 28, also from Paris, and will be under the supervision of Krief.
Lilford holds a degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town and has completed various professional certification programs in Business Administration, Energy Innovation, Emerging Technologies, and Financial Modeling.
Throughout his career, the executive worked for a decade at BlackRock within the sectors and themes team. He has also been an investment manager in venture capital in infrastructure at Treïs Partners LLP and an associate at Dresdner Kleinwort, after starting his professional career as an analyst at Fieldstone Private Capital Group.
