The second edition of El Salvador Travel Market 2026 (ESTM) has concluded in San Salvador after registering a total of 988 business meetings, in which 100 international buyers and 56 companies linked to tourism have participated.

According to the press release, the event has taken place in the Salvadoran capital under the organization of the Salvadoran Chamber of Tourism (Casatur), with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and the Salvadoran Tourism Corporation (Corsatur).

Delegations from 17 countries, including Spain, have attended the event. Additionally, in the exhibition area dedicated to the tourism sector, twenty Salvadoran SMEs have showcased handicraft products and local creations from the country.

The president of Casatur, Carlos Umaña, has highlighted that the forum has allowed for the opening of new business options for the local private sector, with a level of activity that the organization estimates could turn into several million dollars in the short and medium term.

"That is the path we want to follow: that the growing interest in El Salvador translates into more products in international markets and more opportunities for our sector," Umaña has stated.

The Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, has emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Administration and the private initiative to strengthen the international projection of the destination, and has congratulated the companies for having received "more than a hundred wholesalers" arriving from different regions of the world.

"From the public sector, it is relevant to strengthen strategic alliances with the sector so that more businesses can strengthen their investments, as this contributes to positioning our country as a destination and to the consolidation of our tourism offer," she has indicated.

Before the fair, six familiarization trips were organized for foreign buyers and specialized media, with the aim of showcasing the diversity of attractions in the country, which include cultural heritage, volcanoes, beaches, surfing, coffee, and gastronomy.
