The Finnish multinational Nokia closed the first half of the year with a net profit attributed of 88 million euros, which represents an advance of 184% compared to the result recorded in the first six months of the previous fiscal year, according to the accounts released this Thursday by the company.
Between January and June, the revenue of the Scandinavian technology company reached 9.248 billion euros, 6% more than in the first half of 2025. Within this figure, the networks area increased its revenue by 12%, to 3.866 billion euros, while the mobility business billed 5.183 billion, 1% above the figure from the previous year.
By geographical areas, Nokia earned 3.295 billion euros in America during the semester, which represents an increase of 9%. In Asia Pacific, on the other hand, revenue fell by 2%, to 1.910 billion euros, while in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, billing advanced by 7%, reaching 4.042 billion.
If we analyze only the period between April and June, the Finnish company obtained a net profit attributed of 2 million euros, compared to the earnings of 90 million achieved in the same quarter of 2025. In parallel, the net business figure for the second quarter increased by 8.4%, to 4.815 billion euros.
"The second quarter shows that our strategy is yielding results," said Justin Hotard, president and CEO of Nokia, adding that Nokia has focused on "maximizing its opportunity in the AI supercycle."
"In the second quarter, the order intake for AI and cloud reached 2.800 billion euros, while sales more than doubled year-on-year," the executive added, noting that, while demand remains strong, supply continues to be the main limitation of the sector, which drives customers to place long-term orders.
Thus, the top executive of the company has assured that Nokia faces the second part of the fiscal year with a notable momentum and expects to be slightly above the midpoint of its forecast range for comparable operating profit.
