Sacyr's shares rose this Thursday by around 5.5% in the market, after announcing that in the first half of the year it obtained a net profit of 78 million euros, which implies an advance of 157% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Specifically, the construction company's shares ended the session at 4.8 euros per share, which represents a revaluation of 5.47% compared to the previous day's close, positioning it as the highest value in the Ibex 35, which gained 1.78%.

In the accumulated total for 2024, Sacyr's shares have appreciated by 23% --compared to 12.9% for the Ibex 35--, reaching a capitalization close to 4 billion euros, while the advance in the last five years stands at 136% --above the 127% that the main index of the Spanish stock market has accumulated in that period--.

The company's latest semiannual results also reflect that the operating cash flow, considered the best thermometer of the business performance in a concessionaire like Sacyr, grew by 18%, reaching 631 million euros, and that the net cash available to undertake new projects stands at 1.92 billion euros.

At the same time, the revenue increased by 9%, reaching 2.437 billion euros, and the gross operating profit (Ebitda) reached 708 million euros, also 9% more than a year earlier, with a consolidated margin in the group of 29.1%. 91.1% of the Ebitda comes from its concessions.

In the Engineering and Infrastructure area, billing advanced by 10%, reaching 1.584 billion euros, and the Ebitda improved by 4%, reaching 270 million euros, with a margin of 5%, compared to 4.8% in 2025. The portfolio of this division increased by 4%, reaching 13.019 billion euros.

In parallel, Sacyr Agua recorded revenues of 185 million euros, 33% higher; obtained an Ebitda of 35 million euros, 8% more; and achieved a profitability margin of 23.3%, one-tenth above the previous year. The Agua portfolio stands at 8.2 billion euros, after growing by 18%.

Regarding indebtedness, the net debt at the end of the semester amounted to 6.788 billion euros, 6.7% more than in December, mainly due to net investments amounting to 691 million euros. Excluding the liabilities associated with projects, the net debt with recourse decreased by 8.6%, to 264 million euros, compared to March.

A report from Banco Sabadell emphasizes that these results reflect "an operational evolution above expectations" and supported by a solid performance of sales, which compensated for "somewhat weaker" margins.
