The Chamber of Commerce of Spain has completed the second edition of the program 'Support for the Tutor of SMEs and Micro-SMEs', an initiative that seeks to make it easier for small businesses to incorporate into Vocational Training (FP). The project is developed in collaboration with the CaixaBank Dualiza Foundation, the Bertelsmann Foundation, and has the co-financing of the European Social Fund Plus.
In this second call, 168 companies, 26 educational centers, and 25 training cycles have participated, of which 8 belong to Medium Degree and 17 to Higher Degree, as detailed by the Chamber of Commerce in a statement.
"With a business fabric formed mainly by SMEs, the good development of Vocational Training depends on these companies having the appropriate support to assume their training role," said the president of the Chamber, Luis Bonet.
The companies that have participated in the program have focused mainly on the professional families of administration and management; commerce and marketing, as well as installation and maintenance.
Regarding the cycles with the highest presence of companies, cooking and gastronomy (Medium Degree); electronic maintenance and renewable energies (both Higher Degree), along with electromechanical maintenance and machining (Medium Degree) have stood out.
The program has also extended its geographical reach thanks to the incorporation of the Chambers of Commerce of Cáceres, Castellón, Murcia, and Terrassa, which join those of Alicante, Barcelona, Gijón, Seville, and Valencia, where the initiative was already being developed.
After two consecutive editions, the 'Support for the Tutor' program has established itself as a key tool for small businesses to integrate into Vocational Training with greater guarantees, in a productive environment composed of 99.8% by SMEs and micro-SMEs.
