Unicaja has modified the regulations of its shareholders' meeting to enable the option of calling fully virtual assemblies, following the path initiated last year by other banks in the Ibex 35, such as Santander or Bankinter.
According to the new regulations for the meetings, sent this Thursday by the entity, it is anticipated that the board of directors may decide that the meeting is held by "exclusively telematic" means, without the physical presence of shareholders or their representatives.
In that case, the bank will set the deadlines, procedures, and ways to exercise the rights of shareholders in accordance with what is established in the bylaws and in the regulations themselves.
Furthermore, Unicaja has emphasized that it will not assume responsibility for the "damages" that shareholders may suffer due to "breakdowns, overloads, drops in communication lines, connection failures, malfunctioning of the postal service, or any other eventuality of the same or similar nature, due to causes beyond the company."
