The parliamentary spokesperson for IU, Enrique Santiago, has demanded that, in light of the "migrant emergency" that Ceuta is experiencing, migrants and minors be sent to other autonomous communities, considering that the whole country must face this situation in a supportive manner.

Through a message on the social network X, Santiago has argued that this is the appropriate way, relying on the ruling of the Supreme Court that prohibits "hot returns" and also pointing out the "opportunism" of Morocco in the current context.

"The country must face the challenges in a supportive manner. Will the autonomous governments of PP-Vox leave Ceuta stranded?" has raised the also spokesperson for Interior and Justice of Sumar in Congress, questioning the attitude of the autonomous executives governed by both formations.

At the same time, the governments of Spain and Morocco have closed an agreement to implement measures that allow for the delivery "as soon as possible" of "all" migrants who have entered irregularly into Ceuta in recent days, especially this Thursday, when numerous groups managed to overcome the fence at the El Tarajal jetty.

Sources from the Ministry of the Interior have indicated this Thursday that both countries have decided to "reinforce coordination and efforts to address these flows and have committed to reviewing and implementing measures for the delivery, as soon as possible, of all the people who have entered illegally" into the autonomous city.

Previously, Movimiento Sumar had requested to increase reception resources in Ceuta and ensure a "coordinated" response to the massive arrival of migrants, insisting that any intervention must comply with the rule of law and expressly rejecting hot returns.
