The first vice president and Minister of Presidency and Equality of the Government of Navarra, Javier Remírez, has reiterated that "there is no judicial case open at this moment against any member of the Government of Navarra" in relation to the alleged splitting of contracts for the works at Sendaviva park. He has stressed that it is a "formal obligation to provide information" and has insisted that what "underlies" this matter is a "technical-legal discrepancy".
Remírez thus responded in Parliament to the intervention of the Vox representative, Emilio Jiménez, who had asked him if "any type of responsibility" was going to be assumed after a complaint from his party for the alleged splitting of contracts in the actions carried out at Sendaviva had been admitted for processing.
The vice president has emphasized that "there is no judicial case open at this moment against any member of the Government of Navarra regarding this matter", specifying that "the only thing the order collects is a formal obligation to provide information" and adding that "of course, we will cooperate with justice". He also pointed out that "what the order indicates is that the documentation that Parquenasa had already delivered to the investigating court number 5 of Pamplona will be sent to the Court of Auditors", documentation that, he recalled, is already published on the Contracting Portal.
The minister has insisted that "what exists at this precise moment is an ongoing investigation and what underlies it is a technical-legal discrepancy between the General Intervention, on the one hand, and on the other hand, between the criteria and legal reports, both of the Navarrese Institute of Sports and Physical Activity and of the project manager".
Remírez has accused Vox of "not caring about the complaint". "You already have the verdict made," he pointed out, reproaching Jiménez for seeking "defamation, the spread of suspicion." At the same time, he has remarked that "the admission for processing of a complaint does not mean proving a crime nor does it imply guilt" and has emphasized that "what we are talking about is an initial phase of the investigation".
On the other hand, Vox parliamentarian Emilio Jiménez has pointed to the regional government for having "chopped up contracts for its main construction company" and has opined that "continuing to keep" PSN parliamentarian Ramón Alzórriz - after the works carried out in his apartment were sent to the TSJN -, councilor Rebeca Esnaola, whose department "has to do with Sendaviva", and councilor Arasti, "who handles the money of all Navarrese people", is "indecent". He stated that the regional government "obstructs justice" and has demanded that Chivite "assume responsibilities, resign, call elections and make herself available to the courts" or "she will be the next to fall".
