The Strike Committee, made up of the Confederación Española de Sindicatos Médicos (CESM), the Sindicato Médico Andaluz (SMA) and the Sindicato Médico de Euskadi (SME), will hold a meeting next Friday with representatives of the Socialist Parliamentary Group in Congress, in order to convey to them the current situation of the group in the open conflict over the modification of the Framework Statute.

This meeting takes place following the request sent by the Strike Committee to all parliamentary groups, with the aim of finding out first-hand what their position is on the demand for a specific statute for doctors and physicians ahead of the elections on November 29.

The Committee notes that this round of contacts aims to gather all possible information on the different political positions regarding the group’s demands before the ballot box date, so that, once the new Executive is formed, conversations can be resumed with an interlocutor with "full capacity". In this line, the Committee insists that the conflict "remains open" and "far" from an "adequate resolution".
