The Iranian Army reported early Wednesday morning a new drone attack against United States military positions in the Middle East. The offensive targeted an air base in Jordan that was already attacked by Iran last Thursday, as well as military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait, amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington.

In a statement released by the Iranian agency Tasnim, linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Armed Forces detailed that "Al Azraq base, in Jordan, where the F-18 fighters were located, the accommodation building, and the large warehouse of equipment of the American terrorist army, have been attacked with drones." The message frames this action within the operation called 'Lightning'.

In the same note, the military body maintains that "the 'era of slap-in-the-face' is over and that any action against the land, water, and sky of this historic country will not go unanswered or without a proportional cost." With these words, Tehran insists that it will respond to any new American offensive in the region.

In parallel, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has reported additional attacks by its Navy and Aerospace Force against American targets in Bahrain and Kuwait. According to the military report, a military warehouse in Bahraini territory was hit, and fire was directed at American drones deployed at a Kuwaiti base.

Regarding Bahrain, the note indicates that "in a simultaneous operation with missiles and drones, fighters from the Navy and Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps destroyed a few hours ago several warehouses of weapons and spare parts for enemy ships and aircraft at the Sheikh Isa base, in Bahrain."

Concerning Kuwait, the statement adds that "they also attacked the ramp where enemy MQ9 drones were deployed at Ali al Salem base, in Kuwait, destroying or damaging several of them." These actions are part of the Iranian campaign against American military resources in several Gulf countries.

The Revolutionary Guard has also launched a new strategic warning about energy traffic in the area. It has stated that, "as long as American atrocities persist in the region, not a single drop of oil or gas will be exported, and these aggressions will only delay the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz," a maritime passage that Iran claims to keep closed, while Washington maintains that it is blocked for the Islamic Republic by its naval forces.

With these operations, Tehran is opening a new phase of its counteroffensive, which includes attacks against ships in the Strait of Hormuz and against American military facilities and assets in several states in the region, with particular emphasis on Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Alarms and air defense in Bahrain and Kuwait

After the attacks became known, the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain reported on social media the activation of emergency sirens and asked the population to remain calm and seek shelter. In its message, it stated that "the siren has been activated" and urged citizens and residents "to remain calm and proceed to the nearest safe place."

In Kuwait, the General Staff of the Armed Forces has also communicated through social media that its anti-aircraft systems "are responding to threats from hostile drones." The military command explained that "any explosion heard is the result of the interception of hostile targets by air defense systems" and asked citizens "to follow the security instructions" disseminated by the authorities.

Hours earlier, the spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz al Atwan, had detailed the scope of the threats detected on Tuesday afternoon and evening. According to his figures, one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 drones were registered, which were "intercepted and neutralized" by the Armed Forces, although he warned of "material damage" caused by "debris that fell in various locations."

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense has denounced that the Iranian attacks targeted "vital and civilian facilities" and has also recalled the attack suffered by a ship of its Navy, which left four military personnel injured on the same day.

According to the Islamic Republic's version, these actions constitute a response to the latest military operations ordered by the Donald Trump Administration. Washington, for its part, has justified the resumption of its bombings by alleging that it is retaliation for the attack by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard against a commercial vessel flying the Cypriot flag.

So far, US forces have carried out numerous bombings against Iranian military "capabilities" and have also announced the restoration of a naval blockade on the ports and coasts of this Asian country, thus intensifying the military standoff in the region.
