The Ministry of the Interior of Qatar has reported that at least three people have been injured, including a minor, as a result of the air bombings carried out by Iran during the early hours of this morning, following the latest resumption of hostilities with the United States registered late on Saturday.

In a note released on its official social media profiles, the Ministry confirms the existence of injuries "due to falling shrapnel during interception operations." "The injured are receiving the necessary medical attention," the statement adds, without providing further details on their condition for now.

For its part, the Central Command of the United States Armed Forces (CENTCOM) indicated this Sunday that it has carried out attacks against Iran in response to the offensive launched by the Revolutionary Guard against a merchant ship that allegedly ignored its orders, which has led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz "until further notice."

According to Washington, in this third wave of attacks against Iranian territory during the week, around 140 Iranian military positions would have been hit, including "Iranian missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, ammunition depots, communication networks, and coastal surveillance posts."
