The British television network Sky News reported this Friday that it has been the subject of a "security threat", on a day marked by multiple similar warnings in Europe, which have affected both media outlets and air connections between different countries on the continent.
"Sky has been today one of the media organizations that has received a security threat", a spokesperson for the network said in statements given to Europa Press. "We have carried out a security assessment and have reported the matter to the competent authorities", he highlighted.
The network representative also stressed that "the safety and well-being of our colleagues are our top priority, and we are working closely with the authorities to ensure that both our personnel and our operations remain protected", without for the moment providing additional information about the specific nature of the threat.
Meanwhile, in recent hours, the headquarters of Ireland's public broadcaster RTÉ in Dublin has been evacuated following a bomb threat, while more than a dozen flights in Europe —including one that connected Spain and the Czech Republic— have been disrupted by warnings of this type. The authorities have indicated that, for now, no real risks have been detected at any of the affected points.
