The British Police have once again arrested two individuals who had previously been released in connection with their alleged relationship with an "Iranian plot" linked to the Fairford military base.

The arrested are two young Londoners, a 24-year-old British citizen and a 25-year-old British-Iranian, who are being investigated for "aiding a foreign Intelligence service," in this case Iran, according to a statement from the anti-terrorism unit cited by the BBC.

Both had already been arrested for the first time on September 27: the first in the vicinity of Fairford and the second in the Westminster district.

During the early hours of that day, security forces received a tip-off about the presence of three suspicious vehicles near the airbase. As a result, a serious incident was declared and dozens of nearby homes were evacuated.

In the area, five men were located with gasoline in three vans parked near the military facility. They were initially arrested on suspicion of offenses under the Explosives Act and, later, for the alleged preparation of a terrorist act.

In total, seven men were arrested in the early stages of the anti-terrorism operation. The other five remain at liberty on bail while investigations continue.
