The White House has once again blocked access on Thursday to reporters from CNN and MSNOW, as well as from the newspaper "Politico," ignoring the court order issued a few hours earlier that urged the Government of the United States to immediately restore the credentials of these media outlets.
In light of this new denial, the affected journalists have requested a new hearing before Judge Tim Kelly --the same magistrate who issued the order and who suspended the veto for 14 days, in a serious setback for President Donald Trump--, according to the newspaper "The New York Times."
Kelly concluded in his ruling that the decision to revoke the credentials was not made with "due process" and emphasized that "individuals must receive notice and the opportunity to be heard before the Government deprives them of a constitutionally protected interest."
During the session held on Wednesday, the representative of the Department of Justice, Michael Velchik, argued that the information published by these three media outlets posed a risk to the national security of the United States and maintained that Trump, in his capacity as president, is authorized to decide who can enter the White House.
