A member of the Ejército de Tierra has died while taking part in a training activity at the "San Gregorio" Training Centre, in Zaragoza, according to a statement this Sunday by the Cuartel General del Ejército, which indicated that the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
The deceased, identified by his initials as F. J. G. J., was assigned to the X Field Artillery Group, part of the "Guzmán el Bueno" X Brigade, and had been part of the Ejército de Tierra since 2018.
The Ejército de Tierra has expressed its condolences and its "unconditional" support to the family and to the fellow servicemembers of the fallen soldier. "His memory and dedication to the Fatherland will always remain present in our hearts. Rest in peace," states the Cuartel General del Ejército.
