The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has held the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, responsible for the current difficulties in accessing housing, directly pointing to his "open borders policies" and "his rejection of construction" as the source of the problem.
In a message published on the social network X, Abascal has replied to Sánchez after the latter highlighted in his personal profile the actions of the coalition Executive following the approval this Tuesday of two royal decrees with new measures regarding housing. In that context, the Vox leader has written: "Enough with the lies and propaganda."
Abascal has insisted that the "open borders policies" and the "rejection of construction" explain why many Spaniards do not have a "house to emancipate or start a family." Furthermore, he has denounced that "the few who have one live poorly, cramped, sharing with strangers."
In contrast to the Government's strategy, the president of Vox has reiterated that, in his opinion, the response to the housing access crisis lies "in remigration, the construction of free and public housing for Spanish families, the deregulation of rents, and tax cuts."
