The president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, has calculated this Monday that between 3,000 and 5,000 migrant people still remain in the autonomous city, when four days have already passed since the massive entry from Morocco, and has warned that the locality has not yet recovered "normality".
In an interview on "Telecinco", reported by Europa Press, Vivas has emphasized that the "territorial integrity" of Spain has been "violated" in Ceuta "through an avalanche of 80,000 people", practically the same number of inhabitants that the city has. "That anguish, that fear, and that feeling of helplessness, of fear, that the citizens of Ceuta experienced, is still marked in our state of mind," he pointed out.
The Ceuta leader has indicated that the current situation is no longer the one experienced on Thursday and Friday, although he has specified that "measures need to be taken in many ways" so that "it does not happen again".
Vivas has recalled that, days before the massive entry from Morocco, his Executive maintained a "manifest concern" because "movements" were being registered that evidenced the need to adopt exceptional measures and establish a "single command" under the "protection of the National Security Law", after between 1,800 and 2,000 people managed to access by swimming.
