The Board of the Permanent Deputation of the Senate has launched a public tender for the purchase of mobile phones and tablets for a total amount of 1,150,999 euros, intended for the parliamentarians who are elected in the legislature that is formed after the elections on next November 29.
According to the details in the contract tendered by the Upper Chamber, to which Europa Press has had access, the delivery of 325 tablets and 325 mobile phones is planned, all of them with a four-year warranty counting from the date of receipt.
The document also sets out that the successful bidder must supply 325 power adapters and 325 transparent protective covers for each of the mobile devices delivered.
Regarding the power charger, the tender requires that it have dynamic power regulation to allow fast charging of the device, so that "up to 50% of the device's battery in 15 minutes" is reached, and that it be from the same manufacturer as the terminal.
Among the technical characteristics of the mobile phones, the purchase of equipment with the operating system "iOS 27" --used by Apple-- is included, a maximum weight of 225 grams, "geolocation" and microphones distributed in different areas of the device.
In the case of the tablets, they must incorporate the operating system "iPadOS 27" or a higher version and 325 keyboards from the same manufacturer will be delivered, which are powered directly by the device itself, with an integrated "multi-touch" touch panel and direct connection to the tablet.
