The president of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has called this Tuesday on the trade union organizations to "reconsider" the general strike called for next week, considering that, if before it was already "incomprehensible", after the Urda disaster it constitutes "a serious mistake".

During an informative breakfast organized by Europa Press, Feijóo has emphasized that he does not question the fundamental right to strike enshrined in the Constitution, but he does question the appropriateness of the protest set for November 11.

"And that is why I want to address the unions directly. Reconsider that strike called against the opposition just as the campaign director of the Socialist Party has confirmed. Before it was incomprehensible. 69 dead later it is a serious mistake", the Popular leader has stressed.

He has also recalled that, according to him, the union centers did not promote any strike "in eight years of Government" by Pedro Sánchez and has asked them not to do so now either "three weeks away from being called to the polls". "Do not do it or you will link your image to Pedro Sánchez forever", he has reiterated.
