King Felipe VI has maintained contact this afternoon with the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, as well as with the presidents of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco; and of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, to learn firsthand about the situation generated by the fires that are affecting these autonomous communities.

According to the Royal House, the monarch is also making phone calls to the mayors of the municipalities affected by the fire to follow the evolution of the emergency on the ground.

In addition, the King plans to travel to the operations center of the General Command of the Balearic Islands, from where he will participate by videoconference in the meeting of the State Coordination and Direction Committee (CECOD) of the State Emergency Plan, in order to follow the coordination of the work against the fires.
