"On November 29 next, we are finally going to say 'end' to Sanchismo." With this statement, this Sunday the PP's Vicesecretary for Institutional Regeneration and the head of the party list for La Rioja to Congress, Cuca Gamarra, addressed the attendees in Logroño during a pre-campaign event in the Rioja capital in which the party's general secretary, Miguel Tellado, also took part.

In her speech, Gamarra insisted that "on November 29, La Rioja is going to vote for change," stressing that "Spain cannot be understood without La Rioja" and defending that "being smaller does not mean being less than anyone."

As she pointed out, "in these eight years, when those who depended on Pedro Sánchez were favored, others have been the ones paying the price, including, among them, the people of La Rioja," and therefore she called, from "that silent majority" to "rebel ourselves." She recalled that "almost four years ago, La Rioja was the community that gave its strongest support to Alberto Núñez Feijóo and had the highest percentage of votes for the PP, and we are going to do it again."

She also emphasized that "there are 20 days left; this time we are not going to fall short by four seats—we are going to contribute so we don't end up with that gap, and we are going to do it from here by achieving one more seat." In this way, she reiterated that "so, on November 29, we are finally going to say 'end' to Sanchismo."

However, Gamarra warned that "we are not going to do it in any way; this is not going to be a formality—we are going to mobilize everyone, because what you can feel in the air is the desire to reach every corner of this community and explain the need for the change that La Rioja and Spain need to be achieved on the 29th. And we are going to do it by being decisive, making this party contribute one more seat from La Rioja, to get Sánchez out of La Moncloa once and for all."

She specified that "a change—she highlighted—meaning that we go for everything, but not with a spirit of revenge, but with a sense of dignity, for a clean, responsible, hardworking Government, and one to be proud of. And, without starting from revengefulness, we are going to appeal to the people of La Rioja who are fed up with what we are seeing and living through, those who are ashamed of the Government for its conduct and its scandals."

Therefore, he has indicated that "to that vote of dignity, of effort, of working people, to which we are going to appeal" and, although he has admitted that "many of them will never have voted for us," he has emphasized that these elections are different, and that they will address that silent majority "with conviction, so that the money from taxes is directed to what is needed and so that there is equality, wherever we live."

Gamarra has described that "this Legislature has been that of amnesty; that of the hooded pact with Bildu that has not come free because the convicted are out on the street; that of the Koldos, the Ábalos, the Cerdanes, those who traveled in the Peugeot; of the brother; of the wife; of the attorney general; that of the blackout; that of the 116 dead of the trains; that of Zapatero; that of the sewer system; that of a Ceuta that was invaded while the president goes on vacation."

"And this—he has sentenced— is the opposite of what a Government should be. That is why, on the 29th, we are going to say 'it is over,' because we have finally got Sánchez out of La Moncloa." In his view, the PSOE "is having the campaign put very uphill," something he has said also affects Rioja's socialists, "who are very quiet, everything is silence, and there is nothing surprising, because they are being pursued by the case files, by the indictments, by the raids; nothing will be able to cover up all these scandals."

Accordingly, he has stressed that "we demand explanations, and we are going to demand them by speaking at the ballot boxes," mentioning as examples the use of European funds, "because the train did not go"; "that this week the uco has arrested six socialists"; or "that this week too, instead of bolstering railway security, they have dedicated themselves to bolstering the 'bonus' at ADIF."

In relation specifically to La Rioja, the candidate has questioned "where are the new trains and frequencies that they promised us; the A-12; the improvements to the N-232 or the connections of the AP-68" and it has been answered by affirming that "nowhere, because, for Sánchez, La Rioja has mattered little, because he has only come to his brother-in-law's wedding, and by helicopter." He added that "what has happened in Rioja's infrastructure is that bingo was being played when there was a bribe of 2 million for the pockets of the socialists."

In this way, he has said that "we have not had a Government, but people resisting from the Council of Ministers," also recalling that "they are very feminists, but they have hired prostitutes for not going to work or they have released rapists." At the same time, he asked "where has the PSOE of La Rioja been: presiding over Sánchez's fan club, we sent Concha Andreu home four years ago and now we will send his boss home."

In response, he countered with "Alberto Núñez Feijóo who is rigor, is experience, is capacity, he has the desire to govern and to work," highlighting that "this is the time to rebuild the country, through infrastructure, through housing, so that taxes go down, so that there are more doctors, orderly immigration and safe streets."

"On the 29th we stake everything. We are going to promote a different Government, which will come out with the backing of the people of La Rioja, to put an end to this period of corruption and open another of hope. There are 20 days to go in a positive direction, there are many things to improve, it is worth it that we all go out, and that La Rioja be the protagonist that day with more PP deputies," he concluded.
