The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has reiterated that Spain "will continue with the people of Ukraine" because "defending their freedom is defending international law the sovereignty of peoples and the European project".

Sánchez has shared this message after the meeting held this Thursday with the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, in a post on the social network 'X', reported by Europa Press.

The head of the Executive has also taken the opportunity to thank Zelenski for his visit and his "commitment" to "peace and freedom for Ukraine" in a context marked by almost five years since Russia’s military attack, which has kept the two countries facing each other since February 2022.
