The deputy secretary of institutional regeneration of the Popular Party, Cuca Gamarra, has urged this Sunday to reinforce collaboration "between institutions and administrations" with the aim of confronting the fire that remains active in Almería, a fire that, she has stressed, "does not understand ideologies" but demands "all available means and all planning and coordination".

Gamarra, who spoke at the tribute organized by the Basque PP in Ermua in memory of the popular councilor Miguel Ángel Blanco, murdered by ETA 29 years ago, has conveyed her party's support to "those who have lost family members in the recent fires in Almería" and has extended that recognition to the professionals who "from Infoca (Andalusian Forest Fire Extinction Service), from the UME (Military Emergencies Unit) and from any other area are working every day to definitively extinguish" the fire.

In her speech, she also asked that "everyone" comply "scrupulously with all the recommendations" issued "by technicians and authorities," while reiterating the need for cooperation "between institutions and administrations to be able to fight the fire."

As she emphasized, "a collaboration that must always be accompanied by the greatest number of means and personnel, by prior work so that we can have them, and with them, fight a fire that does not understand ideologies, but which does need all available means, that all planning and coordination is perfectly designed so that it can act and can defend us from the fire."

For this reason, she has once again expressed the Popular Party's support for the Junta de Andalucía "and for all the personnel of Infoca or the UME," who are deploying "these devices to be able to control and definitively end this fire."
