The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment, and Environmental Policy has made public the call for aid aimed at financing promotional and communication activities for wine products in third country markets during the year 2027.
As stated in the excerpt of the call Order released this Wednesday in the BOCyL, applicants will be able to register their requests from tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, until 2:00 PM on December 9.
The aid will be financed with funds from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and aims to promote knowledge of the characteristics and qualities of wines, in order to strengthen their competitiveness and favor both the consolidation and, when appropriate, the opening of new markets in third countries. For these purposes, all States that are not part of the European Union are considered eligible for promotional actions.
Companies engaged in winemaking established prior to the registration date of the application, organizations of wine producers and their associations, as well as professional organizations whose activity is predominantly in the wine sector and that include among their statutory purposes the implementation of promotional actions, may apply for funding for promotional and communication measures in third countries.
Likewise, management and representation bodies of the PDOs and PGIs of wines, and their associations; associations of producers, temporary or permanent, that include among their objectives the promotion of wine promotion and marketing initiatives; cooperatives that sell wines produced by themselves or by their partners; and non-profit associative entities made up exclusively of companies in the wine sector whose purpose is the international promotion of wines will also have access to these aids.
Finally, Public Bodies with legally established competence to carry out promotional and communication actions for products and markets in third countries may also be beneficiaries, "provided that such body is not the sole beneficiary of the aid."
