A total of 12,066 farmers from the province of Granada will receive public aid for the purchase of fertilizers amounting to a total of 12.19 million euros. This first list of beneficiaries is already available and allows for the consultation of the specific amounts of each subsidy through the website of the Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA).
The Government of Spain has detailed in a note that the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food began to pay this extraordinary aid since last Friday, included in article 50 of Royal Decree-law 7/2026, of March 20, within the Comprehensive Response Plan to the Middle East Crisis. The total package amounts to 700 million euros intended to facilitate the purchase of fertilizers for farmers in light of the rising cost of this input.
In the whole country, 249,376 agricultural producers will benefit from this aid designed to compensate for the increase in the cost of fertilizers, with a total amount of 494.57 million euros. The maximum aid foreseen will be 92.5 euros per hectare for irrigated crops and 38.33 euros per hectare for dryland areas.
The Executive recalls that fertilizers are among the raw materials that have seen their prices rise the most due to the war conflict, which is why this support line "seeks to mitigate the impact of this increase on agricultural operations." The aim is for agricultural professionals to maintain "adequate levels of fertilization," considered "essential" to sustain agricultural production, "without it representing a high additional cost and not affecting the increase in food prices."
Within Andalusia, Granada ranks as the fourth province with the highest volume of aid. The territorial distribution in the community is led by Seville, with 33,800,352 euros, followed by Jaén, with 22,935,381 euros, and Córdoba, with 22,259,919 euros.
After Granada, the province of Cádiz receives 9,604,265 euros; Málaga, 5,902,932 euros; Huelva, 3,863,396 euros; and lastly, Almería, whose beneficiary farmers total 2,362,113 euros.
