The plenary session of the Parliament of Catalonia approved this Thursday a motion in which the Minister of the Interior of the Generalitat, Núria Parlon, and the Director General of the Mossos d'Esquadra, Josep Lluís Trapero, are censured and their dismissal is requested, following the infiltration of two agents into an assembly of teachers.
The initiative, promoted by the CUP under the title "The Government's violations of the right to protest, collective rights, and public freedoms," was approved on the point relating to Parlon with favorable votes from Junts, ERC, and CUP. PSC and PP positioned themselves against it, while Vox, Comuns, and Aliança Catalana opted for abstention.
Regarding Trapero, the Parliament also agreed to censure him and request his dismissal. In this case, Junts, ERC, Comuns, and CUP voted in favor; PSC and PP voted against, and Vox and AC abstained.
The "cupaires'" motion also included the request to demand the dismissal of the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Esther Niubó, if an agreement is not immediately reached with the educational community and the sector's majority unions.
In the vote on this last section, Junts, ERC, and CUP supported the proposal, PSC and PP voted against, and Vox, Comuns, and AC abstained again.
