A large group of around a hundred representatives from the cultural and social sphere, including musician Fermin Muguruza, actress Itziar Ituño, and the band Neomak, has signed the manifesto promoted by the youth organization Ernai against fascism. With their signatures, these individuals call to participate in the mobilization convened in San Sebastián for next Sunday the 13th, an event organized by the youth of the abertzale left.
From Ernai they have pointed out that "there are many people who currently live with concern about the rise of fascism, and even more who are worried about the possibility that fascism finds a way in Euskal Herria and about the form it may take."
In coherence with this diagnosis, the youth organization has emphasized that, in light of this scenario, they consider it necessary "to continue the work done over decades and keep fighting against fascism" and have highlighted that the "national mobilization" of Ernai Gazte Antolakundea in San Sebastián "will be an opportunity for that."
Among the signatories of the text are, in addition to Fermin Muguruza, Itziar Ituño, and the group Neomak, Antton and Julen Telleria, Lur Errekondo, Ainhoa Vitoria, Dupla, Des-Kontrol, Sua, Joseba Tapia, Aiora Zulaika (Pirritx), and Joxe Mari Agirretxe (Porrotx), as well as singer Olatz Salvador and musician Xabi Solano, among other prominent names from the Basque cultural scene.
