The Comunidad de Madrid has proclaimed three days of official mourning in memory of the victims of the railway accident that occurred this Wednesday in Urda (Toledo), a disaster that has caused at least 64 deaths and numerous injured people.

The regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, communicated this through a message on her official account on the social network "X", where she conveyed all her affection and support to their families.

The accident took place at 8:45 a.m., when the AVE 2080 train, which had departed from Madrid bound for Sevilla, collided with the Iryo 6076 train that was traveling ahead, causing the derailment of the last two Iryo trains, according to the official information available so far.
