La Séptima continues to gain ground in its first days on air. The new television channel reached 3% share of screen on Saturday, 7 November, on its first weekend on air, according to data published by FormulaTV. In this way, the channel improves the figures from its first two days and places itself ahead of La 2 in the daily count.
The result comes just three days after its debut, on Thursday, 5 November, when La Séptima launched with a 2.8% share. On Friday it raised its quota to 2.9% and on Saturday it added another tenth, reaching 3%.
Luján Argüelles stands out in Saturday’s schedule
The first Saturday of La Séptima was marked by the launch of its weekend programming. Among the main new features were the slots presented by Luján Argüelles, Quequé, Alba Carrillo and Marta Márquez.
The Fin de semana format, hosted by Argüelles, was one of the most prominent segments of the day. According to data collected by verTele, it reached 5.7% share of screen and brought together 210,000 viewers.
For its part, La comedia nacional, with Quequé in the lead, recorded 4.5%, while Fuera de control, presented by Alba Carrillo and Marta Márquez, obtained 3.9%.
The morning results and the afternoon segment helped raise the channel’s daily average, despite the fact that the two films broadcast during the night registered lower shares, 1.5% and 1.4%, respectively, according to data published by verTele.
A launch that seeks to make a place for itself on DTT
The evolution of La Séptima takes place in its first days of activity, so it is still too early to determine whether it will maintain these results in the medium term. Its launch has generated expectations in the television sector due to the addition of a new offering to DTT and its commitment to live programs and entertainment formats.
The 3% registered on Saturday is, for now, its best daily figure since the start of broadcasts. Comparison with other channels makes it possible to place its performance across television as a whole, although the average share of the entire day should not be confused with the leadership of a specific time slot or of prime time viewing.
