The protest against the expansion of Barcelona airport gathered this Sunday at noon about 5,500 people, along with 150 bicycles and 4 tractors, in the city center, according to the count provided by the Urban Guard.
The mobilization, driven by the Zeroport platform, began on Passeig de Gràcia a few minutes after 12. From there, the march descended down Gran Via to Urquinaona Square and continued along Via Laietana towards Sant Jaume Square, the final point of the route, where the organizers launched paper airplanes.
During the demonstration, participants chanted slogans such as "More trains and fewer planes," "Illa, Collboni, carbon dioxide," and "Let's turn off the tap to speculators."
