The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has demanded this Wednesday that the Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy (CPFF) be held in September with "order and rigor" and that an end be put to the "scandalous decisions" in the field of the financing of the autonomous communities.
In the appearance after the Council of Government, convened extraordinarily due to the fire in the Sierra Oeste, the Madrid leader has emphasized the importance of the central Executive providing information to know "if there will be a General Budget or to know how they want to do things."
Her words come after the Ministry of Finance opted to postpone the CPFF meeting, in which the reform of the autonomous financing system will be discussed, until September 4, following the request for delay made by the communities governed by the Popular Party.
"It's that now there is not only no information, but the situation is dreadful for the communities that are affected by this fire situation, among many other things. So at least it seems to me that it was necessary right now not to start managing everyone's money on the eve of the holidays, at 40 degrees, to see if no one finds out," she stated.
Díaz Ayuso has lashed out against the "scandalous decisions" of the central Executive that, in her opinion, "compromise the socialists in other regions to buy the elections in Catalonia" and has defended that these matters be discussed after the summer break, as they "compromise the future and the heritage of all Spaniards," also demanding "a little respect for the forms."
At the same time, she has criticized a Government that, as she has denounced, "takes advantage of any situation, catastrophe, or unforeseen situation" to continue with its political plans.
Ayuso insists on her criticisms about immigration
Regarding immigration, the regional president has reiterated that the Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas airport has become one of the main points of "massive and irregular entry of people." "We are facing an incomprehensible situation, this does not happen anywhere. A nation that presents itself takes care of its borders and the rule of law and this is not happening in our country and what I wonder is why, for what, what is the end," she has raised.
In their understanding, the autonomous communities must continue to denounce this scenario because they are facing the problem "as best they can" and because they are concerned about "coexistence and the maintenance of public services."
