Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts plans to reopen on next December 1 two complexes of its sub-brand "Bahia Principe Explore", located in Tenerife and Jamaica, after subjecting them for nearly a year to a deep comprehensive renovation, according to what the hotel company communicated this Tuesday.
In detail, the establishments that return to its portfolio are the Bahia Principe Explore Costa Adeje, on the island of Tenerife, and the Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica, located in the Runaway Bay area.
These reopenings are part of the company’s new stage following the 'joint venture' sealed between Grupo Piñero and the American giant Hyatt.
Thanks to this agreement, the Spanish company retains its brand identity while its hotels are incorporated into the Inclusive Collection category and are integrated into the World of Hyatt platform, which expands its visibility and strengthens its positioning in the international market.
According to what the CEO of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, Julio Pérez, has pointed out, these openings represent "a relevant step" for the company by recovering two key hotels "completely renovated", which allows the chain to strengthen its presence in Tenerife and Jamaica with a proposal "adapted to the evolution of demand".
Restructuring of sub-brands and support from Soltour
The interventions carried out have covered the total updating of the rooms, the common areas and the gastronomic and leisure offering, with an approach closely linked to the local culture of each destination.
This transformation is part of the group’s new brand architecture, organized around the "Explore" lines, aimed at families and groups, and "Escape", focused on the adults-only public.
At the same time, the tour operator Soltour, which exclusively markets Bahia Principe's vacation offer for the Iberian market, will support the reopening with a specific campaign and promotions for customers from Spain and Portugal.
The CEO of Soltour, Mateo Ramón, has emphasized that this collaboration allows the tour operator to put its distribution network at the service of a product "very competitive" in two destinations of great strategic relevance for travel agencies.
Details of the renovated complexes
The new Bahia Principe Explore Costa Adeje will have 471 rooms, three pools —one of them of the 'infinity' type with views of the Atlantic Ocean—, four restaurants of different specialties and a 'Kids Club' aimed at girls and boys between 4 and 12 years old.
For its part, the Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica, whose design has been conceived around the cultural concept "Roots", will have 647 rooms, three pools, a water park and seven restaurants, in addition to a commercial and leisure area under the Bahia Principe Village brand.
