Bankinter has recorded a net profit attributed of 605.23 million euros in the first half of the year, which implies an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the information sent this Thursday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

"The Bankinter Group closes the first semester of the year with solid results, supported by the growth of business volumes with clients, the diversification of income sources, and strict discipline in cost management. The commercial dynamism in all geographies and activities, along with prudent risk and capital management, reinforces the Group's ability to continue generating results sustainably and creating value for shareholders," explained the entity led by Gloria Ortiz.

In the first six months of the year, the interest margin advanced by 5.36%, reaching 1.160 billion euros, driven by a second quarter "especially good," better than any of the last six quarters, according to the bank's details. In turn, the gross margin, which integrates all income, increased by 7.26% year-on-year, reaching 1.602 billion euros, thanks to the positive performance of commissions.
