Ibervalles Capital Gestión has reached a strategic agreement with Barceló Hotel Group to incorporate the luxury brand Royal Hideaway Hotels & Resorts in the very heart of Madrid.

The hotel chain will be responsible for operating a new five-star establishment located at number 27 General Perón Street, after prevailing in a competitive process with international reach against other major companies in the sector.

The hotel, whose opening is planned for 2028, will have 132 rooms spread across 13 floors, a spa, an indoor pool, several dining concepts, and a rooftop with panoramic views of the city’s skyline.

With this initiative, Ibervalles intends to boost Madrid’s financial district through an offer focused on urban luxury and contemporary-style architecture.

The architectural project is carried out by the studio BIG, led by Bjarke Ingels, while the interior design has been entrusted to the renowned interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán.

Alfonso Astorga, managing director of Ibervalles Capital, has highlighted the level of demand of the selection process: "We are very satisfied with this agreement after a process in which the most exclusive international brands took part. The Royal Hideaway proposal fits perfectly with our value proposition: turning General Perón 27 into a benchmark for urban luxury."

For his part, Raúl González, CEO for EMEA at Barceló Hotel Group, has noted that the arrival in Madrid "responds to the ambition to continue growing in destinations and exceptional locations," emphasizing that the project brings together distinctive architecture, its own design, and a strategic location.
