Citi has significantly reduced its presence in the capital of Amadeus, now controlling 1.268% compared to the previous 3.097%, according to the latest data available from the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) consulted by Europa Press.
The bank's current position is divided into 0.974% associated with voting rights, both direct and indirect, and 0.294% linked to financial instruments. In total, the 5.4 million shares it holds in the company reach a value of 269.676 million euros based on the closing price this Friday, set at 49.94 euros per share.
Citi made its entry into the Amadeus shareholder structure visible for the first time in July 2025, with a stake of 3.765%, which rose to a maximum of 4.020% just two months later. Since then, the entity has made various adjustments to its position in the technology company, ending up with the current 1.268%.
In the session this Friday, Amadeus ended the trading day with a drop of 1.65%, setting its quotation at 49.94 euros per share. Since the beginning of 2026, the value has accumulated a decline of 20.53%, and if the last year is taken as a reference, the drop reaches 28.26%, in a context marked by investors' concerns about the possible impact of AI on software companies.
On July 31, the company plans to present the results corresponding to the first half of the fiscal year, after having obtained a profit of 356.9 million euros between January and March, a figure almost identical to that recorded in the same period of the previous year.
